Principal

Robin studied at Auckland University, New Zealand, graduating with B.Arch (Hons), and following post graduate studies was awarded Ph.D Architecture in 2001. He has been a Corporate Member of the Royal Institute of British Architects since 2001.

Prior to establishing Robin Walker Architects in 2004, Robin worked for Allies and Morrison Architects where he was project architect for the conversion of Arsenal Football Club Stadium at Highbury to a mixed-use residential development, and Grosvenor Riverside, also a residential oriented development fronting the River Thames in Westminster.

Robin spent a number of years studying architecture in Japan, an education that has forged a passionate interest in craft and aesthetics that inform and guide his design work. He has published on the specialist area of Japanese tea-houses and has also lectured on the subject in the United Kingdom and abroad.

We seek to provide a holistic design solution to project concepts and needs, from the outset of initial design stage through to completion. We draw upon fellow designers, technicians, graphic artists and model-makers to create a dynamic team, when appropriate.
